Masks MUST be worn at all times upon entry** HAITIAN GIRLS BRUNCH Proudly Presents: Women's History Month CelebrationABOUT THE EVENT Join us on Sunday, March 28th, as we gather to celebrate Haitian women, our culture, and resilience. The brunch will entail a brunch menu catered by 1804 Fyete, bottomless mimosas and sangrias, live music, networking, and a panel of dynamic and powerful Haitian women. Author & Creator, Jina Etienne created the HAITIAN GIRLS BRUNCH movement in hopes of creating a safe space, as well as honor, and celebrate Haitian women. The brunch will entail a panel in which guests will discuss the their experiences growing up as Haitian women, how it has affected their lives, overcoming obstacles they have faced, and of course achieving greatness. This event is sure to bring a much needed upliftment and empowerment to all those in attendance. Come and join the Haitian Girls Brunch movement! Shortly thereafter, she launched her own company, specializing in weddings and other social events. After receiving dual Bachelor degrees from St. John’s University in Business & Communications, her firm expanded into a Communications firm with a strong focus on small and minority-owned businesses. Utilizing her great "people skills" as well as her passion for the empowerment of the Black community, in 2012, Judith founded BLACK STREET- an umbrella company created as a means to uplift and empower the Black Community. Their mission is to provide an outlet, which enforces, enlightens, encourages, and educates the Black community. Their focus on the arts, career, politics, education, and food & culture are key components that hold the Black Community together. BLACK STREET also strives in educating and informing outside communities on the Black community’s contribution to every industry. Under the BLACK STREET umbrella, Judith has created platforms such as Black Celebration Awards, Black Women in Media, Black Culinary Coalition, and a few new platforms which will excitingly launch in 2021. As the creator of Black Street, Judith created a platform in which she was able to produce high-level, celebrity-driven events in collaboration with main-stream media partners and sponsors. Judith has received awards and recognition for her work by NYS Senator, Jesse E Hamilton of the 26th District, been awarded a Tribute Honoree, Patricia Tobin Image Awards, received a certificate of merit from the NYS Mayor’s office, and New York State Assembly. VICKI SYLVAIN Vicki Sylvain, is the creator/owner of The Shoe-B® and founder of Quiescere Resource Center (QRC). She is committed to the growth and advancement of women via personal and professional development. Through community service and entrepreneurial ventures, she has made countless efforts to remain true to her purpose. Vicki's latest endeavor, Purposeful Pathways, offers support to promote resiliency through corporate and motivational speaking engagements. She created Purposeful Thoughts to give women a tool to help them cope with the challenges they face on a daily basis. JESSICA TOUSSAINT Jessica Toussaint is a motivational speaker - certified life and success coach - an agent of change - who provides teaching and guidance, helping others discover their hidden power within, as they journey toward wholeness. Jessica’s desire is to inspire women and men on a personal level and share what she’s learning on her own journey. She is driven by her faith and desire to motivate and encourage others in a world that often feels unsteady. Jessica is also the Founder and President of Bridge to Promise, Inc., a non-profit organization that aims to equip marginalized young people today with the tools and resources necessary for societal and personal success. Inspired and encouraged by her parents, who migrated from Haiti with goal of building a bright future in the US, Jessica earned her Bachelors of Science in Special Education and her Masters in Business Administration with a focus in Management in Leadership, both at Dowling College. She then became a certified Life and Success Coach and earned her certification in Organizational and Community Leadership. Jessica has been featured personally and professionally in Queen Size Magazine, The Westbury Times, and LI Herald Elmont. She has contributed to the community and other organizations such as The New York Call, State of Black Long Island Equity Council of the Urban League of Long Island, and Perfecting Faith Church. Jessica’s faith in God has always been a driving force in her life and continues to sustain her commitment to serve others. JASEMIDE CAZENA Jasemide is a Haitian American born and raised in Brooklyn. Jasemide is the founder of a podcast name Nurse Jazz Talks which is a platform to advocate for Mental Health for Nurses. In the process of advocating for Mental Health, she decided to start a self-care line Manifesting Therapeutically INC. which will be launching in June.
