Call or text (541)969-1152 Essential Job Duties: The position requires operating a log truck with trailer to and from multiple logging work sites in any given day, driving on and off the highway usually in mountain areas. • Securing loads using wrappers which require the driver to throw the wrappers over loaded logs and tighten the binders using a safety swede. • Winter driving in mud, snow and ice requiring use (and placement) of tire chains.  • Drivers are required to perform preventative maintenance of truck on a daily basis. To include: Daily inspection of truck equipment for safety, such as overall visual inspection of the truck and trailer(s), adjusting the brakes, raising the hood to check water, oil and the engine compartment. • Contact with the truck dispatcher must be maintained at all times. • Documentation of all loads is required. • This job requires extensive time alone and individual judgment must be exercised at all times to perform the job.  Job Requirements include: • Experienced Log Truck driving – (Short logger or Long logger experience) • Experience with forest and on/off highway driving preferred. • Willing to train, preferred with previous driving experience. • Must possess a valid state commercial driver's license (CDL) Class or Permit • Must possess a valid Medical Card as per DOT and meet the current FMSCA standards.
