Employment PPLP is hiring FISH PROCESSORS to join our team of motivated and dedicated Processors during our spring Hake and summer Pollock fisheries. If you have a strong work ethic and think you have what it takes to work on a vessel in a fast paced environment, please apply. We currently have multiple positions for Fish Processors available. Join us in April in Seattle and begin an exciting career working on board the M/V Phoenix or M/V Excellence. You must quarantine in Seattle for two weeks prior to joining the vessel. You will follow quarantine protocols and be tested for COVID19. It is critical the ships remain virus free and we take quarantine very seriously for the health of all personnel. Quarantine starts April 28th, 2021. We are offering an hourly wage, plus a case rate bonus based on production. Housing and meals are provided at no charge to the employee. This is a great way to begin a career in the seafood industry with plenty of growth and advancement opportunities. You are eligible for health insurance enrollment after one year. Additionally you may enroll in our 401k plan. Qualifications Making a living at sea requires a special kind of person. This is a physically, mentally and emotionally demanding work place. Working on board a processing vessel is labor intensive and can be difficult and dangerous. Our employees must deal with conditions such as long working hours, isolation from family and friends, cramped living conditions and bad weather. People with positive attitudes, good work ethic and a sense for safety tend to thrive in the fishing industry. Crew is expected to be physically fit, be capable of heavy lifting and intense physical labor. Work conditions are wet, cold and monotonous. The job requires endurance, repetitive lifting, agility, prolonged periods of standing, teamwork and self discipline. The factory operates continually and production personnel work shifts of 12 hours or more per day, seven days a week. You must be able to follow orders and work as a team. You must pass a pre-employment drug test and participate in our US Coast Guard zero tolerance random drug testing program.
