Recreational marine industry service technicians needed! If you enjoy working in the recreational marine industry, we encourage you to join our team in beautiful, historic Sackets harbor. Navy Point Marine in Sackets Harbor, NY provides dockage, storage, and service for boats of all types and sizes from trailerable boats to yachts over 60 feet long. We have immediate openings for new crewmembers to join our team. While experience is preferred, it is not an application requirement, as we will provide on-the-job training for the right applicants. Immediate openings available in the following areas: • Lead mechanic - knowledgeable in small diesel engine repair and maintenance; Mercruiser I/O troubleshooting and repair • Marine Electrical technician - electronics installation; autopilot systems; bow thruster repair and installation; air conditioning system repairs and installation • Fiberglass technician – fiberglass and gel coat repairs; painting • Boat Carpenter - interior cabinetry for both new construction, modifications to existing; complete wood refinishing and varnishing • General Laborers facility maintenance; dock repairs and upgrades; landscaping; • Equipment operators- knowledgeable in the following boat launching and hauling, Mast stepping/unstepping; loader tractor; excavator; and track steer operation • Dock Hand (Summer) - provide help when customers leave or return to their slip; fuel and pump-out service; customer interaction Ideal applicants must be motivated to work as an integral team member, have access to reliable transportation, and are required to have and maintain a clean driving record. We have positions that are both full-time and part-time with compensation commensurate with skill level (full time positions are year-round).
