I'm looking for someone experienced in engine work who can provide references in rebuilding the upper engine. From the oil burning and occasional smoke, I presume I need valve stem seals and piston O-rings replaced. From what I learned that's known as an upper engine rebuild. I've already had the crankcase vent replaced - that's not the cause of the oil consumption. I'd like to get this service done for a reasonable rate; obviously I'm not interested in paying the dealer labor rates. If someone has the expertise and wherewithal, equipment etc. to do the job, please let me know.
