Description
Join the Cheese Shop for a non-alcoholic brunch! (Or go for the alcohol, if you want!) BELLY UP TO BRUNCH! So. C.J. is SOOPER excited for this class. And there's no booze involved. (Does not compute, right? Nevertheless, it's the truth.) Instead you'll have a lovely brunch and sample non-alcoholic sparkling tea. (Oh, calm yourself and read on!) This isn't like carbonated Nestea. This is serious stuff from Denmark. "Leave it to the Danes," C.J. says. He also says, "This is the coolest thing I've put in my mouth this past year!" Yeah, he likes it. The Copenhagen Sparkling Tea Company is the brainchild of a Danish sommelier and each batch is hand-brewed using many varieties of organic tea. And this is a perfect chance to learn your offspring to eat and drink good stuff. Start now, and little Susie can be a somm by 5th grade! For the real boozehounds out there who can't go one stinkin' brunch without booze, we'll let you swap out your non-alcholic tea for a boozy one. Or buy a boozy one as a go-with. As for the brunch part, TCS is doing a collab with La Mie, which will be providing their heavenly croissants. You'll also get Spencer and Co. smoked salmon — which the TCS savants have named the best ever — and a new goat cheese from Capriole. The cheese is called Tea Rose. Is that perfect or what? It's a lovely thing, all covered in tea and flowers. So sign up and expand your beverage horizons! (Also, FYI, the tea makes a great mixer for cocktails if you're a really serious brunch drinker...) WHEN: April 3 HOW MUCH: $60 WHAT TIME: You can hop on at 9 a.m. and class starts at 9:30 a.m. HOW IN THE HELL IS THIS GONNA WORK? 1. Purchase your tickets! 2. Show up at TCS during shop hours (10 a.m. to 5 p.m.) the two days before class (Thursday, April 1 or Friday, April 2) to pick up your tea and eats. 3. Make sure you set up the Zoom app on your phone, tablet, or computer. (Tech-challenged? Here's a handy little tutorial.) Please figure all this out well in advance of the class, so you don't miss anything. Note: The private video conferencing link to the class will be provided in a separate email sent the day of the tasting.
