Dark Staffing is now seeking three full-time cultivation techs for various locations! Each location is offering onsite accommodations and a chance to become apart of a growing cannabis community. Below are the requirements for each location: Carlotta Location: - Must be open to staying onsite at least part-time - Follow direction easily - Has advanced knowledge of the cannabis cultivation growth cycle - Lifting 50lbs bags of soil repeatedly Ferndale Location: - Must be open to staying onsite full-time - Pulling tarps daily - Lifting over 50lbs of soil repeatedly - Follow direction easily - Has general knowledge of the cannabis cultivation growth cycle - Comfortable around animals - Does not need to bring an animal as no additional animals are allowed onsite - 4 wheel drive vehicle Dinsmore Location: - Must be open to staying onsite & working weekends - Pulling tarps daily - Lifting over 50lbs of soil repeatedly - Follow direction easily - Has general knowledge of the cannabis cultivation growth cycle - Comfortable around animals - 4 wheel drive vehicle Dark Staffing Solutions is a combination of passion and commitment for creative workforce solutions. ABOUT THE ROLE As a Cultivation Tech at Dark Solutions, you will be assigned to jobs based on your skills and qualifications. Your role is to ensure you are safe, respectful, and responsible at all times (and in your personal life for the sake of humanity) while representing Dark. You will be assisting with all aspects of the cannabis cultivation process from seed to harvest. We are always looking for hardworking, passionate people who are not afraid of nontraditional work. Outside of these jobs, we have temporary work that can last days, weeks, and even months so candidates that are able to be mobile and flexible should apply. Reliable transportation is required as these jobsites can be remote and off the beaten path. Some jobsites have accommodations available, and some do not. We have staff that live the #vanlife and are very successful with Dark! Humboldt County cannabis cultivation happens primarily in the mountains so prepare for the most amazing scenery you’ve ever seen. As an employee of Dark Solutions, you will be working with the best in the industry. ABOUT THE WORK • Plant, cultivate, harvest and inspect crops • Amend and move soil • Operate and service farm equipment and machinery as trained • Spray solutions to control insects, fungi and weeds • Move plants and clones with various farm equipment such as wheelbarrow • Examine plants for pest and disease • Light deprivation duties such as pulling tarps • This job requires working outside for 8 hours or more, dealing with the unexpected ABOUT YOU • Excellent References • Pride in your work - Attention to detail and accuracy of work product • Drive to meet deadlines • Ability to show up on time and records attendance accurately • Ability to use farm tools such as, weedwhackers, shovels, pruning shears etc. • Hand tool and power tool knowledge • Has some construction, plumbing, electrical and/or handyman experience • Good moral values and a positive attitude • Ability to multi-task and prioritize • Excellent communication skills – in-person, over the phone, via email, and text • Proven teamwork skills • Critical thinking skills - Ability to learn • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform manual labor tasks with ease • Stability and predictability in work attendance • Interest in further developing cannabis and agricultural knowledge • Experience in cannabis farming but we will provide training to the right candidates We have walk-in application hours from 9:00-5:00 Monday-Friday so come by and meet us.
