BEVERLY, MA — Abbey Otterbein, of Beverly, was named to the Dean's List at Bates College for the fall semester ending in December 2020. This is a distinction earned by students whose grade point average is 3.88 or higher. Otterbein, the daughter of Leo E. Otterbein and Sherrie L. Otterbein, is a 2019 graduate of Phillips Academy. She is majoring in neuroscience at Bates. Emily Aldrich from Beverly has been selected for inclusion on St. Lawrence University's Dean's List for academic achievement during the Fall 2020 semester. Aldrich is a member of the Class of 2021 and is majoring in psychology and business in the liberal arts. Aldrich attended Beverly High School. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have completed at least four courses and have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester. Amy McCaffrey, of Beverly, has been named to Adelphi University's fall 2020 Dean's List. McCaffrey was among a select group of outstanding students recognized by Adelphi's deans of Arts and Sciences, Education and Health Science, Business, Nursing and Public Health, Social Work and Psychology for superior academic performance. The list comprises full-time students-registered for 12 or more credits-who have completed at least nine graded credits and achieved a GPA of 3.5 or above for the semester. This recognition becomes part of the student's academic record and is entered into the individual's transcript. Emmanuel College named Jahnessa Cepeda, of Beverly, to the Dean's List for the Fall 2020 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.
