We ask that if you contract covid within 2 weeks after attending a concert to please let us know asap. We will alert all attendees that there was a potential exposure. * All concerts will be limited to 19% capacity. Current guidelines allow for 30% capacity, but to ensure proper social distancing and to guarantee a stage view for all attendees, we are only allowing 54 attendees per show. * Thorough deep cleaning procedures are in place for before, during and after each performance. * When you arrive at the venue, the manager on duty will escort you to your table. Please arrive with your entire party. You will not be seated until your entire group has arrived. * Please arrive on time. Think of this new show format of ours as going to a movie theatre. We need you and your group to be on time so we can start the show on time. * We ask that you only leave your table to go to use the restroom. If you need to step outside for a phone call, to chat with a friend, take a smoke break, whatever. Please take it to the sidewalk and do not congregate in the alley. * Our shows are seated shows. With that being said, live music naturally makes you want to get up and move to the music. We have limited space and a very specific seating layout to adhere to covid distancing guidelines. Feel free to stand at your seat and wiggle those hips and shake those booties, but we ask you stay in place and save those wild dance moves for another day. Just think of how hard we are going to dance when this is all over!? Baby steps. Please take them with us. * If you do not follow the procedures we have laid out, we will ask you to leave without a refund. * If you have any question, concerns or comments, please let us know. THIRSTY CURSES: Thirsty Curses is a rock n’ roll band based in Raleigh, NC, whose sound covers a vast array of rock ‘n roll subgenres including punk, folk, country, prog rock, 90s alternative, and pop. As John Adamian of YES! Weekly put it, "Thirsty Curses make rock’n’roll, with a boisterous beer-swilling edge to it. Many of these songs are about living it up while things fall apart at the seams, or at least trying to find some glory in chaos and meaninglessness." Thirsty Curses was formed by singer-songwriter Wilson Getchell in late 2017 and currently consists of Getchell (lead vocals, guitar, piano), Clayton Herring (bass), Evan Miller (drums), and Alexander Weir (lead guitar). The band started garnering local attention with the release of its first single and debut album, "Holy Moly" in early 2017. After a year of performing locally and doing sporadic weekend warrior touring, Thirsty Curses teamed up with producer Mitch Easter to record their second studio album, All Shook Up (2018), which featured singles "Dimlit Cathedral" and "Exile". All Shook Up proved to be a boon for the band as numerous underground music publications and blogs began to take notice. Dying Scene wrote in a review of All Shook Up, "I can’t classify Raleigh’s Thirsty Curses. Alt-Country? Folky-Americana? Garage-Punk?... As schizophrenic as their genre influences seems to be, the one common denominator is that I dig every single track I’m hearing." The following year, Thirsty Curses signed with the independent label Spectra Music Group, through which Thirsty Curses released its self-titled label debut, Thirsty Curses, in November 2019. The album was similarly lauded by underground music media. WKNC 88.1 wrote, “There is some phenomenal songwriting on this album. In every song, the lyrics flow and swing together extremely harmoniously, creating a sense of continuity and balance that lets you just sink deep into the music.” Official Fame Magazine similarly praised the new album, writing, "Each track of this album refuses to hide raw emotion from the weight of life, but also leaves traces of hope between the lyrics. Thirsty Curses are like shifting clouds in a foggy winter day that invite temporary beams of light to shine through the gloom.” Unfortunately, the momentum building behind Thirsty Curses was interrupted by the COVD-19 pandemic. However, during the shutdown, the band teamed up with similarly sidelined local performers to make music videos for two tracks from Thirsty Curses, "Bruises On Your Shoulders" and "Smash/Hit". The music video for "Bruises On Your Shoulders", for which the band enlisted the help of several local actors, was recently awarded first place in the Broadcast Education Association's Festival of the Arts for best narrative video and has received over 11k views since its release last fall. For "Smash/Hit", Thirsty Curses teamed up with FireStar Professional Wrestling in Greensboro, NC. "Smash/Hit" didn't win any awards, but was awesome and hilarious. Thirsty Curses has also been working on new material during the shutdown and is looking forward to sharing it with the people.
