Job Title: Automotive Technology/Product Expert Stevinson Lexus of Frederick is seeking an Automotive Technology/Product Expert to join their Sales team. Previous Automotive Certified Technology/Product Expert experience preferred. Compensation: $17.00-$20.00 per hour based on experience. Work Hours: Full Time schedule as defined JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Automotive Technology/Product Expert advises customers on vehicle infotainment, comfort and safety systems with special attention to features, benefits, functionality and information. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • The dealership “go to” person for all tech questions and inquiries. • Participates in the delivery process of new and used vehicles • Gathers customer information as it relates to their smartphone, Bluetooth-enabled devices, and GPS needs. • Demonstrates features and functionality of on-board systems including radio, comfort and convenience, and safety. • Offers value-added services such as loading customers’ music collection on flash drive if vehicle has USB capability. • Sells available subscription services. • Follows up on internet and website customer inquiries on technology questions as related to the products represented by the dealership. • Conducts sales and service training for consultants. • Intervenes in any customer dissatisfaction situations that arise due to technology. • Keeps showroom and sales lot neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the management and in accordance with dealership display standards. • Attends any manufacturer or aftermarket training available. • Lexus Dealership program coordinator SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) in addition to six months or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. • English Language required (bilingual is a plus) • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form • Valid Driver’s License • Must maintain Lexus factory required certification and testing as released and required from manufacturer. • Typically works in an office and outside environment and uses a computer, telephone, mobile phone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties. • Contact with the public in office and outside environments may risk exposure to contagious disease or contact with domestic animals.
