A workshop breaking down the reality and stigma of compulsive buying - an invisible struggle that impacts millions of people. Host: Laci Mottice, Founder of The Inviting Garden Co. Her business' mission is to help women find a lifestyle of slowness, simplicity, and intentionality. This mission manifests itself through decluttering services and incorporating garden principles throughout the home and lives of clients. Lacie recognizes that we cannot reach a point of simplicity and intentionality if our spending habits are out of control. Compulsive buying is something no one talks about. If we as leaders can start talking about this and breaking the stigma around financial literacy than other women will have permission to do the same. Description: When our shopping habits are out of control it can be embarrassing, shameful, and sometimes life altering. But hear this: you are not alone. When we find ourselves shopping from a place of emotional distress, it's usually the sign that something more is going on. In this workshop, you will learn the symptoms of compulsive buying, the prevalence of this phenomenon in our culture, and ways to take charge of your financial spending habits. Too often, we dream of the Instagram and Pinterest-worthy home and garden but do not have the financial capability to make it a reality. There are also a lack of resources for women to take charge of our financial journeys. This workshop aims to bridge that gap so that you can thrive in your home and make it a place of rejuvenation and peace. What to expect as an attendee: You will hear Laci's personal story and journey with compulsive buying, have the opportunity to share your own story, as well as hear the stories and experiences of others. Laci will provide insight and education in a way that will help shed the guilt and shame that come along with compulsive buying, as well as help you to ultimately feel relief, comfort and empowered to make changs. You will leave this workshop with : * tips and tricks to employ when you are tempted by something as a release * awareness of the triggers and symptoms of compulsive buying * resources to help you heal * the knowledge that you aren't alone, and connection with other humans around this invisible struggle Sky Oro is a women focused coworking and community space in Bozeman, Montana.
