ANNAPOLIS, MD — Wednesday is St. Patrick's Day, but it won't be a typical Irish celebration in Annapolis. The city postponed its annual parade on Jan. 22. It will now take place on Sept. 12. That whole weekend will be filled with events. The party kicks off on Sept. 10 with a back-to-business party at City Dock. Misspent Youth, a Maryland party rock band, and Higher Hands, a funky soul group, will perform that evening. Sept. 11 will feature a remembrance of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Navy football will take on Air Force that day. Dublin 5, an Irish rock band, will play that night. The music will continue Sunday with Shamrock The Dock. Dublin 5 will perform again. We're NOT Handsome, a three-piece cover band, will also take the stage. All of these dates are tentative and could change based upon the progression of the coronavirus pandemic. For more information head to VisitMaryland.org or the parade's Facebook page. Like what you're reading? Invite a friend to subscribe to free Annapolis newsletters and real-time email alerts.
