ULTIMATE PEST CONTROL is looking for the right candidate(s) to fill a position in the port cargo fumigation business. Experience preferred, but WILLING TO TRAIN a motivated person. Experience managing labor crews a plus. We look for solid, hardworking individuals that fumigates port cargo, structures and vessels. These include grain elevators, farm bins, warehouses, railroad cars, shipping containers, ships, barges etc. JOB DESCRIPTION ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist in the proper enclosure of cargo being fumed, including covering of heavy machinery, vehicles, etc, with tarpaulins. * Lift and carry rolled tarps, sand bags, etc. * Assist in setting up gas equipment. * Help in removal of all enclosures and fumigation materials used. * Clean up after the fumigation process. * Help store all equipment in proper place. * May assist in application of the chemicals. * Maintain accurate records * Other duties may be assigned. In this position you will assist in the preparation of proper enclosing of port cargo for fumigation purposes and assist in the removal of enclosure material upon completion of the fumigation process. Hours can be long as we work until job completion. Holidays, nights, weekends are sometime required. This is not an easy job, but can be rewarding and challenging. You will definitely not be riding a desk. Most of our work is outdoors. Physical Requirements: Able to climb ladders and stairs throughout the day Work at heights Outside work, fully exposed to the elements Able to lift 50+ pounds regularly Pay will be determined based on skills and certifications already held.
