Frustration finding kittens

In seek of two young female kittens. Have applied to several adoption agencies, but the kittens disappear before the application can be considered. Too many adopters looking or too few rescuers because of COVID? My two 20-year old cats passed away recently. Since rescue was impossible, I decided I would buy a pair of 3-4 month old kittens, but I can’t find reputable dealers with kittens. Obvious scams, like send Non refundable deposit money through Venmo for kittens that won’t be available until August or, No, you can’t see your kitten and I won’t FaceTime with you first. So, then I decide to go through the pet store route, but the NYC pet stores either don’t have kittens or have terrible reviews for cleanliness or honesty. I am ready to give up and have begun applying for out-of-state kitten rescues. My home is kitten heaven. I care about their nutrition and physical and mental health, provide regular veterinary care, and there are 3 adults with empty laps and laser pointers for play. please contact me if you have two young kittens available in March (not Tuxedos or black fur out of respect for my last cats). After this last attempt in NY, I will be flying out West to find a pair to love.
