SANTA CRUZ, CA — A Santa Cruz police officer who stopped a man seen checking car door handles was found to have fake guns, heroin and methamphetamine, police said. An officer was patrolling the Beach Flats neighborhood when they saw the man, police said. The man was found to be on probation and the officer searched him, when they found the replica handguns and drugs, police said.
