SAN RAMON, CA — The polls have closed and San Ramon voters in two council districts have cast ballots for the district 1 and 3 seats of the San Ramon City Council. District 1 Public health professional Luz Gomez held a narrow lead over incumbent councilmember Scott Perkins as of Wednesday morning. The two were neck-and-neck Tuesday. Gomez received just 41 more votes than Perkins as of 11 p.m., with all 16 precincts reporting. In total, she received 2,744 votes. Perkins received 2,703. View the district map here. District 3 Sridhar Verose, engineer and Parks and Community Services commissioner, has apparently won the seat being vacated by Councilmember Phil O'Loane. Verose received 46% of the vote (2,313 votes) as of 11 p.m. Reza Majlesi — professor, educator and businessperson — came in second with 31%, while technology professional Varun Kaushal received and Sameera Rajwade both received 12%.
