Description

Come celebrate a successful spring 40 Days for Life campaign with a time of prayer and worship outside the CHOICES abortion clinic! What better way to finish out the 2021 spring 40 Days for Life campaign than with a candlelit prayer vigil filled with praise and worship? Come join Christians from across Memphis as we stand and pray for all the hurting men and women in our city who have been affected by abortion and beseech the Lord to end this wicked practice. Brenda Alexander will also bring a word of exhortation about the importance of standing for LIFE, even after 40 Days. Her involvement in the Pro-life movement has been extensive, with Mrs. Alexander having served as the President of the Memphis Chapter of Black Americans for Life from 1992-1996. She played a critical role in lobbing for pro-life legislation at the state level and leading, for the first time, a delegation of African American females to the State House to specifically lobby African American State Legislators. She aggressively participated in community outreach and engaged the community with education regarding the genocidal impact of abortion on African American communities and the diabolical strategy of Planned Parenthood and the Negro Project. Mrs. Alexander has appeared on numerous radio stations, including WLOK, WDIA and 640 AM, was a guest on the local TBN television station to address abortion, and has spoken at numerous churches regarding abortion and its impact. She also lobbied internationally for pro-life and pro-family issues at the Fourth World Conference on Women, sponsored by the United Nations in Beijing, China in 1995. Brenda W. Alexander is a native Memphian. She is married to Effort Alexander, Senior Pastor of Grace Thru Faith Church, and the mother of four sons and seven wonderful grandchildren. Her relationship as a Pastor’s wife has afforded her to wear many hats. She has served as Women’s Ministry Leader, Sunday School for children, youth and adults, a choir member, counselor, and family mediator. She has served dutifully with her husband in Christian ministry for more than 30 years and possesses a passion for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Memphis 40 Days for Life Campaign Director Bethany Wade will also give an update on how the spring campaign went, and the evening will conclude with a time of corporate and individual candlelit prayer.
