Discover Little Miracles Job Description Position: Teacher / Assistant Teacher / Float Type: Full-Time (36+ hours a week) Part-Time (less then 35 hours a week) Schedule: Monday through Friday, no weekends, or nights! Hours of Operation: 6am-6pm Primary Objective of Position: You will be responsible for supervision of the children and implementing a safe, interactive, and nurturing environment. You will be required to create and implement lesson plans to help children achieve their individual goals. This includes the areas of cognitive, social emotional, speech and language, and fine and gross motor development. Responsibilities: Maintains an educational program that provides a fun learning environment for all the children within our program. Creates and implements a safe, interactive curriculum and nurturing environment that provides for physical, emotional and social needs of the children and facilitates each child’s ability to reach developmental milestones. Daily supervision of children in a caring and patient manner and develops strategies to guide positive behaviors. Accurately documents and maintains records to meet MN DHS Rule 3 Maintains CPR / First Aid / SUIDS / Abusive Head Trauma Certificate Help with Diaper changes, Potty training, and supervising bathrooms Qualifications: College Transcript reflecting college credits in approved courses (Transcripts will be requested for Teachers / Assistant Teachers) Experience working in a licensed school or childcare environment is preferred Effective communication skills both verbally and written while maintaining confidentiality Must pass applicant background study as required by licensing agency Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with frequent standing, walking, bending and other physical requirements to perform the job Benefits: Continued Education Training No nights or weekends!
