Description
LOS GATOS, CA — The Los Gatos Town Council is expected to hear a quarterly update on the city's police reform efforts during Tuesday night's council meeting.
According to the meeting agenda, staff from the Santa Clara County Behavioral Health Services will speak about responding to mental health incidents.
The council will also go over police stop data from October to December of last year, with a racial breakdown of arrests, citations and warnings. The police department began collecting such data last summer.
Los Gatos also plans to hire consultants to conduct independent investigations of community complaints against police officers. It is considering five firms that have submitted their interest, according to a staff report.
