Looking to start a REAL new-wave tribute band. Seeking a drummer who understands what this music needs and can be a creative force musically. Here's the thoughts: Drums=Acoustic and electronic drums, (Simmons pads?), sequencing percussion, playing to click tracks, programming? Perhaps some vocal abilities as well? Think=Stephen Morris (Joy Division/New Order), Roger Taylor (Duran Duran), Mel Gaynor (Simple Minds), Jon Farriss (INXS), Budgie (Souxsie and the Banshees), Lol Tolhurst/Boris Williams (The Cure) Bands= OMD, Tubeway Army, Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, Duran Duran, Simple Minds, Killing Joke, Joy Division, The Cure, Tears For Fears, INXS, Tones On Tails, New Order, The Fixx, XTC, The Bolshoi, Flock of Seagulls, and on and on and on in this vein.... Stage Show=An actual PRODUCTION. Lights, video backing, stage plot with risers, the look is just as important as the music! If you are with me up to this point, love this style/genre of music and have the gear and talent to take things over the top, get in touch and we can talk more. The possibility of an established weekly residency has already been floated if the band/music is right. I WANT PEOPLE TO DANCE ALL NIGHT LONG TO GREAT DANCE MUSIC !!!!!
