MAPLE GROVE, MN — One Maple Grove resident is $48,381 richer after hitting the winning Northstar Cash numbers on Monday. According to the Minnesota Lottery, the winning ticket was sold at a Speedway store located at 9363 Upland Lane N. in Maple Grove. The winning numbers were 2, 7, 8, 12 and 22. The state's lottery said Northstar Cash offers the best odds out of all the state's games. Players must match two of five numbers to win $1, three of five numbers to win $5 and four of five numbers to win $1,307. Winners who match all five numbers hit the jackpot. According to the lottery's website, winners have a one in 169,911 chance of hitting a jackpot. Northstar Cash drawings are held daily at approximately 6:17 p.m. Tickets must be purchased by 6:10 p.m. to qualify for a day's drawing.
