I'm looking for one or two musicians near or in Tempe interested in creating original music. The genre is not the most important factor; I listen to everything. The goal is to integrate live instrumentation (whatever you play) with electronic sources and sampling (w/ Octatrack). I'm working on building a hybrid kit - acoustic snare/hat/cymbals, electronic pads, kick, run through mixer and finally processing and mangling with the Octatrack. We can run anything through the OT, to sample/mangle/layer at will. The desired result will grant us the ability to play through our rehearsed ideas, with plenty of room for improvisation, and to record sessions and tracks as they come. I have a couple of synths that can be used also. At this point recording, producing, and sound design are my strong suits as I rebuild my chops from years without a kit (I'm in my mid 20's). I'm always making new tracks and stems.
