CLEVELAND — Ohio's first COVID-19 mass vaccination clinic opened Tuesday in Cleveland. Fifteen similar sites will opened in different regions around the state in coming weeks, Gov. Mike DeWine announced. DeWine also announced his intentions to further expand vaccine eligibility to nearly all Ohioans before the end of March. Ohioans 40 and older will be eligible to receive vaccines starting Friday, and Ohioans 16 and older will be able to receive vaccines starting March 29. While touring the state's first mass vaccination clinic, hosted at the Wolstein Center in downtown Cleveland, DeWine said Ohio is ready to accelerate its vaccine rollout. "This is an example of Ohio at its finest – citizens coming together to help ensure that all Ohioans, no matter where they live, have access to the vaccine," DeWine said. "Today is a monumental day. With every shot, Ohio is moving closer to recovery."
