Iredell Health Department To Host Four Vaccination Events

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Iredell County Health Department is hosting several mass vaccination events by appointment this month, in Mooresville and Olin. Those eligible for the free coronavirus vaccine include anyone over 65, high-risk medical providers, and frontline essential workers, according to ICHD. The first dose clinic events are tentatively scheduled for the following dates: Friday, March 19 — Mazeppa Park, 645 Mazeppa Road, Mooresville Wednesday, March 24 — North Iredell High School, 156 Raider Road, Olin Monday, March 29 — Mazeppa Park, 645 Mazeppa Road, Mooresville Wednesday, April 7 — Mazeppa Park, 645 Mazeppa Road, Mooresville SEE ALSO: Here's Who Has Received A Vaccine In Iredell County "The dates on our calendar are tentative, based on vaccine supply," ICHD Megan Redford told Patch. " We do not open appointment slots for our clinics until we have the vaccine supply for that clinic delivered to our office. This eliminates the risk of us having to cancel appointments if for some reason we do not receive a vaccine shipment." Click the "Book Appointment" button. Complete and print the registration form on the Health Department website and bring it with you to your appointment. Remember to write down your appointment time so you do not forget. Do not arrive at the Vaccination Site more than 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. As of March 15, more than 46,000 vaccines had been administered in Iredell County, of which more than 18,000 — or about 10 percent of the county's population — were fully vaccinated, according to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
