Six months ago the number of illegal aliens crossing the southern border was at a 50 year low. Mexico’s president had their troops stationed at their southern and northern borders stopping illegal travel north. The new wall stopped a lot of illegal entry and people were kept in Mexico until their entry request paperwork could be processed. While the system wasn’t perfect, Trumps’ border policy was maintaining order. But instead of continuing what was working and improving on it, the Biden administration, with a classic case of Trump Derangement Syndrome just scrapped everything and now essentially has no policy. Just when the economy is starting to make a comeback, it seems counterproductive to allow thousands of low skilled people to enter the country. And unfortunately those most impacted will be lower income citizens.
