This is getting pretty pathetic after having this listing up for almost three months but I guess I'll oversell this to a ridiculous degree. I’m trying to start a goth band based in Reading, PA. I personally believe the city could use a little more variety in the genres of music it represents. I pretty much have everything needed to start this project but here is a short list of things I can provide: -All bass equipment and gear (I prefer non active bass guitars and more classic looking models like Gibson (Epiphone), Fender (Squier), Rickenbacker and preference to black finishes) -Transportation for out-of-town shows -A practice Space -All booking for local shows, out of town shows and tours -Funding for self-recording and / or studio recording (this also covers mixing and mastering costs) -Startup costs for merchandise including shirts and vinyl 7” records What I am looking for: -Someone who can take direction, learn on their own, memorize bass lines, be constructive and productive with practice (please don’t make me teach you what we finished the week prior or at least have like 75% memorized) -Someone who enjoys goth music and culture (enjoys wearing black, knows who the picture on the flyer is, enjoys the nightlife) -Someone who uses a pick while playing bass (I like the percussive sound of a pick) -Someone who isn’t so busy with work, family, other bands, other hobbies that they cannot commit to this but instead felt like reaching out to fulfill a sense of accomplishment -Someone who is open to opportunities and would like to travel (I’m not saying we will get to play in Los Angeles or tour Europe, but I’ve done it before so it’s entirely possible) -Someone who enjoys drugs but doesn’t let them get in the way of life, music, or responsibility Can be POC, WPOC, LGBTQ. Please have enough of a grasp on music and bass that we can work with one another instead of me teaching you who to play an instrument too. Please send an email if this sounds interesting.
