So here's the deal, I'm looking to find someone who is willing to come by and teach me how to be a better guitar player.
I am in my 50s and have been playing on and off my whole life. Now that I have the time I really want to get back into the learning mode. I never enjoyed the music store type classes and, I have been out to a few home teachers in my area, but I'm not wanting to learn that way, "To Clinical"
I learn best sitting around with someone and shooting the breeze, and saying "oh that's sounds good, show me that". Or "how can I make this rif work better" etc. Just like when I first started playing with friends back in the day. So I am looking for someone that can swing by, hang out and share their vast guitar knowledge with me in a no pressure setting.
My son (29) lives here and he is a drummer, so we could maybe even jam from time to time. I mostly play acoustic, but I have decent electrics also.
I know most people look for students to come to them but I'm willing to pay double for your time. Looking for someone who may not even be a teacher per say, but just looking to make a extra few bucks every week and share some knowledge. We have a music room to play in or even our 3 season bar has plenty of room for those sunny summer days/nights. Fridays or Saturdays would be best.
Any adult aged person is welcome, But please be the laid back cool type, and of course have some type of reference like a Facebook page or something so we know were not inviting a criminal over. anyway, sorry for the ramblings. I would love to learn basic Blues grooves and rifs. Joe Bonamassa Stevie Ray, etc. Email me if your close
