I have a 15 year old sun conure that I want to find the perfect home for. The perfect home would be someone who keeps him in the living room or busy room of the house and someone who will get him out EVERYDAY. I would prefer someone with bird experience who knows what a huge commitment it is. I rescued this bird several months ago from a not so great situation. I thought he would be wild but he is not. He is very tame. He is loving and wants to cuddle. He dances. He is super sweet. He has rarely bitten me and the few times he has it has been very soft. He is not a fan of kids. I’m the only female in my house so I’m not sure how he is with males. He is 15 years old (or so I was told). His only bad quality is that he regurgitates quite frequently on me. I think he was alone for so long that it’s a comfort thing for him. I never tried to stop him from doing it. He has to go with his cage. It’s roughly 5 ft high and maybe 2.5 wide. You could change him to a new one with time if you wanted. I require the cage goes with him bc I’m worried about too much change at a time for him. And also, the cage has a platform door and that is the only way he exits. I truly love this bird and will only let him go to the best home. He could be the greatest companion. I have taken him with me in the car and to my moms and he does great. His wings are not clipped but he doesn’t really know how to fly. I never got a chance to take him to the vet but it appears he does need a nail clipping. I will require whoever takes him to buy his food, a mixture of 3 bags, before they pick him up. I can give a ziplock full to hold you over until it arrives. He comes with all his toys in his cage. I would love for him to go to someone who would keep me updated with his life. Rehoming fee is $500. Must pick up. Preferably in an suv so we can leave him in his cage and slide it into your car. It’ll be on its side but he won’t have to deal with being removed from it.
