JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A shooting in the Center Point area Monday afternoon resulted in injuries to a 13-year-old boy. The incident occurred just after 2 p.m. in the 500 block of 18th Avenue Northwest. Deputy Chief David Agee of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the did not appear to be life-threatening, but the child was taken to the hospital after deputies arrived on the scene. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office was unable to provide more details on the case. This report will be updated as more information is available.
