Micah 6 Community is hosting an informational gathering about our community center project in Pontiac, Michigan.
Webster Community Center was built in 1920, and closed in 2008. In that time, it served as a junior high school for a short time and elementary for the west side of Pontiac.
In 2016 it was purchased by Micah 6 Community, a small 501(c)3 community development nonprofit with the goal of turning it into a community center. Today, they have 100% of the space committed to organizations in four main service areas: Arts and Culture, Youth Programs, Health and Wellness, and Entrepreneurship.
This event is to showcase the project, provide a good "before" for the before and after. In attendance will be local politicians, community members, future tenants, all lending their voices to the growing number who see how vital this project is going to be for the community.
For COVID reasons, we're asking everyone to register here ahead of time to provide a safe experience for all. All COVID protocols will be followed at this event.
