Join Skål Beer Hall for a six course pairing dinner as part of our Valhalla Dinner Series! Sound the horns... we're celebrating our Two Year Anniversary! To help mark the occasion, we welcome Butcher & Chef, Kevin Smith, from Ballard's acclaimed Beast & Cleaver. Kevin is a great friend of the beer hall, and we're stoked for him to join us in the kitchen! Come celebrate with us and enjoy a six course dinner and adult beverage pairing worthy of the gods. Our Executive Chef Jon will prepare three of the courses and Kevin will craft the other three. Expect unique flavors paired with a diverse lineup of libations from here in the PNW and across the pond in Scandinavia. There will be two sessions at 2p and 6p on Sunday 3/28 The menu for the evening includes: Warm Up: Rabbit and Foie Gras Terrine paired with Nøgne Ø Wilderness SourFrom the Pasture: Lamb Heart Tartare with cured duck egg and Juniper paired with Seattle Mead Co. Double Berry TartFrom the Farmer: Crispy Pig Ears, Smoked Beets, and Blue Cheese paired with a Robust Stout From the Sea: Tomato and Saffron Giant Octopus paired with a hearty Double IPA From the Butcher: Pork Belly, Apple and Chicharrones paired with Whitewood Dry Cider From the Baker: Æbleskiver filled with Gjetost Custard paired with Hardware Distillery Cardamom AquavitYou'll have the opportunity to hear from and engage with Kevin from Beast & Cleaver as well as our Executive (bearded) Chef, Jon, in an intimate setting. The majority of our tables will be inside the warmth of the beer hall near the roaring fire! We'll also have four tables outside under our heated pergola on Ballard Ave. You will be at a table with only your party. Masks will be required unless sitting at a table eating/drinking.
