The Parts Counter Associate's works the phones and counter to assist clients and technicians in need of parts and accessories. Our Parts Counter Associate's are the concierge for ensuring that each client has a positive experience, striving to make excellence in service the trademark of Vance. The ideal candidate's will learn to be an expert in all facets of the parts department, from sales, to inventory and shipping. You must be committed to being an "A" player who is self-motivated, fills our clients' needs and is committed to growing our business and profitability with integrity. As with all positions within our dealership, a Parts Counter Associate's will be expected to uphold the highest ethical standards and this must be accomplished with consistent adherence to Vance established principles, practices and Core Values. Applicants must be at least 18 years old Valid license and acceptable driving record Take & pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test High School Diploma, Vocational/Technical School Graduate or equivalent Minimum of 1 year experience in retail sales or parts related position Be committed to improving themselves, their fellow Team Members and the success of the company Have the ability to understand manufacturer's specifications Superior communication skills (verbal, written, presentation) Insatiable appetite for serving clients and passion offering superior service every time Be actively engaged in our business and SMILE every time the phone is answered (Yes you can hear a smile) Maintain and develop a comprehensive product knowledge Knowledge of the body shop industry is a plus, but we will train as needed Use basic math and computers effectively and accurately Positive demeanor with strong interpersonal skills; collaborative and friendly Must have the ability and confidence to effectively interface with clients Strong organizational skills; able to work effectively under pressure with tight deadlines. Must maintain a neat & presentable businesslike appearance at all times Ability to multi-task in an environment of changing priorities while paying strong attention to detail Ability to grasp concepts and learn quickly Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Reliable, responsible and dedicated to fulfilling obligations.
