WAYLAND, MA — A website that regularly ranks the top places to live in the U.S. has named Wayland the No. 9 best community in the state in 2021, and the only one west of I-95 to make the top 10. Overall, Niche gave Wayland a grade of A+ based on factors like homeownership rates, the school district and other amenities. The town got lower marks for nightlife and diversity. "Living in Wayland offers residents a sparse suburban feel and most residents own their homes. In Wayland there are a lot of coffee shops and parks. Many retirees live in Wayland and residents tend to be liberal. The public schools in Wayland are highly rated," the website said.
