Description

The following is a declaration of candidacy from Danvers School Committee candidate Robin Doherty to Patch ... DANVERS, MA — Education has always been a passion of mine. For the last 15 years, I have been an educator in the most diverse high school in the state: Malden High School. I have taught college preparatory classes, co-taught special education, and honors level English. I will bring the passion of teaching and my expertise to the Danvers School Committee for the benefit of its students. My name is Robin Doherty, and I am running for Danvers Public Schools School Committee because I believe communication, collaboration, and strong curricula will help our school system move from good to great. I am a proud graduate of the Danvers Public Schools, a lifelong resident, contributed to the DPS Strategic 2018-2023 Plan, and a Smith School Council Community Representative. Currently, I am finishing my doctoral degree in education with a concentration in teaching and learning. Now, I want to bring an even more positive contribution to the school system, which is why I am running for School Committee. Above all, I want to hear your ideas and concerns about how we can move the Danvers Public Schools forward. I believe in the children of Danvers and want to help them achieve greatness.
