BOSTON, MA — Eleven percent of Boston's population is fully vaccinated, according to state data released last week. Of the 692,958 residents of the city, 74,626 have received both doses of the vaccine and 60,049 have received just a first dose.
Seniors are receiving the vaccine at a higher rate than all other age groups: 44 percent of people over 75 are fully vaccinated and roughly 24 percent have received their first dose. Next is adults ages 65 to 74, with 15 percent of people in that age group fully vaccinated. Residents above age 65 became eligible for the vaccine in Phase 2, which began at the end of February.
The general public will become eligible for the vaccine in Phase 3, which is expected sometime in April.

In the two weeks leading up to March 11, Boston reported 2,354 cases of coronavirus, according to the state's data. The daily incidence rate rose slightly, while the percent positivity remained the same.
