Chef Nelson brings his Top Chef talents to a 3-course Pan-African inspired brunch in honor and support of Oakland's own Black Joy Parade. Spring is here. Black-owned restaurant Sobre Mesa has re-opened. Chef Nelson is on Top Chef ya'll! Even after a hard few years, Black joy still thrives in the bay. Join us in celebration of our beautiful Black Joy Parade community, and to help raise funds so that we can continue to create free joyful experiences throughout the year. Inspired by the presence of joy in all different Black communities, this outdoor seating Pan- African brunch will feature a 3 course prix fixe meal with fish and veggie options. Brunch is $95 per person before tax and includes local entertainment as well as a complimentary custom cocktail (or mocktail) pairing with each course. Proceeds from this event go to support Black Joy Parade, an volunteer-run, Oakland-based 501c3.
