There are currently several private art studios available at Mark Drive Studios. The studios range in size from up 125 to 169 sq/ft and monthly rent ranges from $345.00-$450.00. NOTE: this is NOT a live/work space. Currently we have 2-3 vacancies at 150 square ft/$430 per month. Current residents do get priority in transferring to any new spaces as they come available. We are a collective of creatives based in San Rafael, California. A diverse group of painters, sculptors, photographers, mixed media, design and other creatives. We share walls - so it's a quiet work space. Earbuds for music - and not a rehearsal/dance space. We open our doors two times a year, once in May for Marin Open Studios and once in December for a Holiday Open Studios (on hold during Covid). About the Property: The building was beautifully restored in 2005 to provide artist work spaces, with additional improvements made in 2018. Temperature controlled, housekeeping services for shared spaces including kitchen area. We abide by Marin Public Health safety guidelines re: facial coverings and social distancing. There are 2 bathrooms, 2 "wash rooms" for paint brush cleaning, a kitchen, a large parking lot, and a private bamboo garden with a fountain surrounded by mature succulents. The building owner pays for WiFi, garbage, and electricity. We have a lovely gardener as well as a cleaner for the interior common areas, the building is serviced/cleaned every 2 weeks.
