An interactive workshop providing tools and tactics for creating a secure relationship from the start. Host: Blair Hensen, Open Routes Counseling Description: As a couples and family counselor, I often see clients at the point of crisis in their families. So often, during the hard work of repair there is this moment where the couple often reflects, 'What if we had these skills from the beginning?' This workshop is designed to help you and your partner start your relationship off with the skills you need to create secure functioning. This is one of my favorite topics to teach as a counselor, and I cannot wait to help you integrate these principles into your marriage. This workshop will best serve romantic relationships who are thinking about long-term commitment or in the early stages of your committed relationship. This workshop is open to all identities and romantic relationships. What you will experience as an attendee: My goal is to provide a space and structure to help couples create the relationship that they want. I hope each person will leave feeling energized to try new skills as they continue down the path of relationship formation. Participants will leave with an understanding of their personal and couple values, as well as establishing principles that last a lifetime in their relationship. You will come away from this workshop with the following: * A new understanding of the science behind relationships and emotions; * Skills to navigate conflict and manage relationship challenges; * Together you and your partner will create your rrelationship values and principles that help you build trust, safety and understanding in your relationship; * As a couple you will get a free 20 minute consultation with Blair to follow up on these new skills Since this workshop is designed to be couples focused, you will leave with new supports in each other to create accountability and friendship around your relationship. There will be time to interact and get to know the other couples in the workshop throughout the entire experience. Sky Oro is a women focused coworking space in Bozeman, Montana.
