Mushroom inoculation event The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Cooperative Extension Office will be holding a mushroom inoculation workshop! We will have three different types of mushrooms. Oyster, Reishi and two types of shiitake. Please look at the tree reference chart to determine the best type of tree species for the mushrooms. Please bring your logs with you. You will want the logs to be somewhat fresh and that have been cut within the last several weeks. You can choose the size you want, therefore, you'll want to cut a size that is easy to handle. Most logs are approximately 2-4 feet in length and 4-8 inches in diameter. Event will be outside, so please dress accordingly. Please utilize EventBrite to register for this event. When you register, you will select ONE ticket for you, your group/family and whomever you choose to bring. With your one time slot, you can bring anybody that you're okay being close to. Please let me know how many you will be bringing to the event. This will help reduce contact from others due to Covid.
