Ann’s Place is a compassionate cancer support nonprofit organization located at 80 Saw Mill Road, Danbury, CT. We serve those who are facing cancer, as well as their loved ones, with psycho-social services such as professional counseling, support groups, financial assistance and wellness activities. We help those in the midst of cancer create their own path to improving their quality of life. We do not charge clients any fees for this support, so financial contributions and grants are critical. We are looking for a new member of the team to help grow our revenue to allow us to serve the expanding population of individuals and families seeking assistance during difficult times. While our paid staff is a fairly small team of 12, we have 36 pro bono clinicians and wellness staff, and also engage over 1,000 passionate and caring volunteers in other capacities throughout the year. Position Description: The Director of Development reports to the President and works closely with staff members, board members, and volunteers to further the revenue development goals of our organization which has a budget of about $1,300,000 (up to $1,500,000 with in-kind support). S/he would develop and implement comprehensive and creative fundraising strategies that support the operating, capital and endowment objectives of the organization, personally drive donor cultivation and solicitation activities, manage strong corporate relations, and maximize revenue from current sources of philanthropy.
