**Signing Bonus Available** VanDerKolk Painting is looking for new and experienced sandblasters to join our team. Although we do focus on professional development through learning opportunities, we’re primarily searching for candidates who are already knowledgeable in all facets of sandblasting, including steel and concrete blasting. This includes media use, compressor and blast pot use, blasting nozzles and hoses, trouble shooting, and safety aspects of the job. Duties: • Be responsible for running sandblasting projects locally and regionally • Primary duties will be field blasting • Apply knowledge of coatings, linings, and paint (preferred, but not required) • Report to the Team Leader • Carry out tasks within an expected time frame • Follow Employee Handbook policies Benefits: • $18-27/hr, depending on experience (paid weekly) • Direct Primary Care Health insurance • Overtime pay (required seasonally and as needed) • 401k contributions • Advancement opportunities based on performance and seniority • Being part of a high growth company run by energetic leadership Qualifications: • Familiarity with mechanical boom lifts, Hi-Lo’s and machinery use • Availability for travel within Michigan, and occasionally the Midwest (per diem included) • Cell Phone • Driver’s license and transportation to each job site
