LABORER/CRUSHER CLEANUP

Shevlin Sand and Gravel is currently hiring a full-time laborer for our location in NW Bend. This is an entry-level position that consists of mostly manual labor and some equipment operation. Job duties include: *Hand-shoveling out areas around rock crusher and conveyors that can't be reached with a backhoe. *Operation of backhoe tractor to clean-up around crusher. *Assist in daily maintenance on crushing plant. *Possibly some operation of water truck to provide dust suppression. *Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed. *Basic maintenance of equipment. *Other duties assigned as needed. Qualifications include but are not limited to: *Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis. *Ability to enter into tight spaces to clean out around crusher. *Ability to shovel material consistently throughout the day. *Ability to safely and efficiently operate equipment. *Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow employees. *Ability to maintain positive interactions under stressful situations. *Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen. *Experience with rock crushers, screens, and other aggregate equipment a plus.
