Job Details: Floral Designer $15-$18 an hour Job Type: Part time, W2 employee Number of hires: 2 Full Job Description: Dee’s Florist is a well-established retail flower shop serving Palm Beach County for nearly 30 years with ever increasing demand looking for new designers to increase capacity. Some floral design experience is required but willing to train new and enthusiastic designers. Primary responsibilities include: -Select flora and foliage for arrangements, working with numerous combinations to synthesize and develop new creations. -Retail service duties such as serving customers, answering telephones, taking orders, typing the customer message card, and selling add-on items and receiving payment. -Work with customers regarding price and type of arrangement desired and the date, time, and place of delivery. -Water plants, and cut, condition, and clean flowers and foliage for storage. -Perform general cleaning duties in the shop to ensure the shop is clean and tidy. -must have basic computer skills and become proficient with the order management software. -must be able to lift and carry buckets with water and flowers. -must have valid driver's license. Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday, from 10AM-3PM, to start but negotiable. Holidays are a must and some Sundays may be required. Part-time, W2 employee position, with growth potential to full time. Hours per week: 20 hours min. Benefits: Bonus pay for floral holidays, expenses paid for floral training and certification.
