Since 1969, St. John Lutheran Early Learning Center (ELC) at 7214 South Cass Avenue in Darien, IL has been providing quality Christ-centered early childhood education. The school is part of the largest Protestant school system in the United States operated by The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS). The LCMS has a network of 1,950 preschools, elementary schools and high schools. Open enrollment for 2020-2021 begins on Wednesday, January 8, 2020. Individuals who register no later than February 29, 2020 will be entitled to an Early Bird Discount of $15 on the non-refundable registration fee. To mark the observance of National Lutheran Schools Week, St. John Lutheran ELC will host an Open House on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will provide community members the opportunity to tour the school's DCFS-licensed facility, meet the caring staff, and hear about the exciting half-day programs offered along with before- and after-school extended care and enrichment classes. Visitors will also learn how the school, in addition to providing an excellent academic foundation, works to strengthen and support the family unit.
