Cleveland Mass Vaccination Clinic Opens New Appointment Slots

CLEVELAND — Thousands of appointments have been opened at the COVID-19 mass vaccination clinic in Cleveland, Gov. Mike DeWine announced. "We want to ensure that every Ohioan who wants to be vaccinated - no matter where they live - has the opportunity to get the vaccine, and our community partners are crucial in our efforts to make that happen," DeWine said. The mass vaccination clinic at the Wolstein Center has the capacity to vaccinate 6,000 people per day. To maximize the site's efficiency, thousands of appointments have been reserved for community partners. Those partners, who primarily work with underserved populations, can bring people in to receive the vaccine. Ohio officials also released appointment times that have not been filled by community partners. These appointments will be available to members of the public for 48 hours before each clinic date. Appointments that are canceled with also be available for booking through the state's website. New appointment slots between March 24 and March 30 have been opened at Wolstein. Registration can be done online or by calling 1-833-427-5634 (1-833-4-ASK-ODH). The mass vaccination clinic at the Wolstein Center is scheduled for an eight-week run. During the first six weeks, patients will get the first and second doses of the Pfizer vaccine. During weeks seven and eight, patients will get the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. "I encourage every eligible individual to take advantage of the new appointments at the Wolstein Center Mass Vaccination Clinic," said Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson.
