UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — Lincoln Center on Sunday hosted two events as part of a ceremony to honor the anniversary of New York City's first reported COVID-19 death.
The first event was a performance by the Young People's Chorus of New York City. The popular chorus performed "You'll Never Walk Alone."
Later in the day, Lincoln Center hosted a 30-minute candle memorial surrounding the Revson Fountain at the heart of the arts and entertainment campus.
The candles honored the approximately 30,000 New Yorkers who have lost their lives so far during the pandemic.
The memorial started with a 10-minute moment of silence.
