Established Southern California fan and lighting showroom, Fan Diego, is looking to augment our showroom team in our San Diego showroom. Ideal candidate is going to help design, merchandize, assemble and install lighting fixtures, fans, home and accessories in our showroom, handle shipping and receiving, fulling customer orders, and hopefully work into a sales position. Prior experience in a retail store is helpful and excellent customer service skills are a must. The position requires friendly, positive, organized and motivated people, capable of learning products and processes quickly. Ideal candidates have a proven track record and interest in team building. Must be comfortable on a ladder to hang fixtures and capable of lifting up to 40 lbs. Experience in minor electrical wiring is not necessary but helpful. We will train. Assemble, hang and wire lighting fixtures and ceiling fan displays Drives store sales by suggesting additional items to customers to meet their active lifestyle needs. Ability to establish & maintain effective relationships with employees and customers. Possesses a strong character/ethical core. Ability to interact cooperatively and work as a team towards a common goal. Demonstrates a passion for delivering exceptional service every day and inspires by example. Ability to work a changing schedule to meet the needs of the business Ability to perform other retail and operational duties: cash register, inventory count, stocking, answering phones, ETC Learn Point of Sale software, shipping and receiving duties and fulfilling customer orders Merchandize showroom floor and stock warehouse selves Minimum Experience: Previous experience customer service preferred, but not required. Summary: Position: Sales Associate Hours: Full-time Pay: $14-$17 DOE
