TUSCALOOSA, AL — In-person absentee voting opened Monday for the two municipal runoff elections for spots on the Tuscaloosa City Council.
Runoffs will be held for District 1 and 6 on Tuesday, April 13. The District 1 race will see Que Chandler and Matthew Wilson appear on the ballot, while John Faile will challenge incumbent District 6 Councilor Eddie Pugh. Check out my prior election coverage here.
The deadline to submit applications is April 8, while absentee ballots will be accepted until April 12 at 5 p.m. Absentee ballot applications can be obtained at Tuscaloosa City Hall, mailed to a resident by calling the City Clerk's office or online here.

If submitting an application by mail, city officials say completed applications should be mailed along with a copy of the registered voters driver's license to P.O. Box 2089, Tuscaloosa, AL 35403. The City Clerk will then mail the ballot and all instructions needed to the registered address.
For the voter, the ballot must be completed, notarized or witnessed by two people, and returned prior to the election.
Voters may bring the completed application and driver's license to the City Hall entrance located on the 4th floor of the Intermodal Facility Parking Deck between 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
