We are looking for candidates who can work with our crews and who has a vested interest and desire to work in the outdoors and its elements on multiple types of projects. No two construction projects are the same and no two maintenance clients are the same. We work Monday thru Friday with occasional Saturdays. Saturdays are quite common in the Spring and Fall. We always start at the same time every day but our days end at all different times. This job can be strenuous and will be difficult at times. You must be willing to put in 100% every day and all day. This has an opportunity for long term employment. We offer ongoing training with room for advancement. We laborers that could very well become team leaders in the future after proper training. We are not interested in hiring an “extra set of hands”, we encourage every team member to be engaged with learning and improving. JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE AND OR LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION: • MUST HAVE a minimum of 2 years’ experience with landscape construction and or landscape maintenance. • MUST HAVE a Valid RI driving license and clean driving record. • MUST HAVE Ability to drive company vehicles Safely, Courteously, Cautiously and Proficiently with a trailer if necessary, to and from job locations. • MUST be at least 21 years of age! • MUST have Reliable transportation to work. • MUST be a team player with a positive and professional attitude! • MUST have a valid DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one if hired. • MUST be organized, neatly dressed daily and be efficient every day. • MUST be punctual, arrive to work on time every day and be ready to work in various weather conditions (Hot, Cold, Rain, Etc.). • MUST be physically able and the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. multiple times per day. • MUST be able to take direction and periodically constructive criticism. • MUST be outgoing, positive attitude, friendly personality as you will need this with co workers and especially our clients. LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS & DUTIES: • Ability to proficiently operate lawn mowing machinery. (Zero Turn Ride on Mowers, 21” Push Mowers, Etc.). • Ability to proficiently operate small lawn maintenance equipment. (String Line Trimmers, Backpack Blowers, Etc.). • Ability to clean planting beds on a regular basis. (Raking, Cultivating, Weeding, Etc.). • Ability to lift 50lbs or more. (Grass Barrels, Bags of Fertilizers, Etc.). • Ability to listen, comprehend, be open minded to direction and training in order to learn our ways of providing exceptional services to our clients. • Ability to drive company vehicles carefully and cautiously to and from jobs. • Ability to drive a company vehicle Proficiently with a trailer when or if needed. • With our maintenance crews we ensure that all duties are shared by the entire crew. Our crew is expected to be run efficiently and effectively, that doesn’t happen without a team effort. LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS & DUTIES: • Ability to lift 50lbs or more. (Bags of Mortar, Carry Pavers, Carry Wall Block, Carry Stone, Etc.). • Ability to drive company vehicles carefully and cautiously to and from jobs. • Ability to be left alone on various jobsites. • Ability to learn how to set and handle different types of stone and pavers. • Ability to dig with a shovel, rake with iron rakes or grade rakes and use a wheelbarrow. • Ability to but not limited to planting, digging, grading, seeding, mulching, drainage, etc. PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE AND APPLICATIONS CAN BE FILLED OUT ON OUR WEBSITE: www.readslandscape.com Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
