Whew, you really are a mental case! IN THE SAME POST you say "There is no way to know how many died this way" while saying you have provided evidence that "more people have been dying due to the containment measures than virus itself." Do you even read your own, incoherent drivel? Clue, evidence WOULD be a "way to know how many died", but as YOU admit, IT DOESN'T EXIST yet you claim you've provided it! W O W The only evidence that DOES exist proves people died 6 times as often from COVID than the shutdowns. And MANY, MANY more times that would have, if not for the shutdowns. Your evidence to date has been "it's a proven, historical fact". Uh, do you have a dictionary? That's NOT evidence, that's a baseless assertion. I knew you were no student of epistemology from your very first post, this is why I knew Hitchen's Razor would go right over your head. You just don't get that assertions made without evidence are nothing but worthless opinions. Yes, people die from alcoholism, drug abuse, tobacco use, obesity, suicide, murder, etc., etc., etc., something EVERYONE knows Captain Obvious. Where is the data that shows these numbers have increased by half a million in the past year? Assertion after assertion after assertion without the slightest evidence to back it up. And the evidence I provided from the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention was dismissed by you with yet another assertion, that they are lying about the numbers because they are "political". Have any evidence that their numbers have anything to do with politics? And whether they lean left or right? They obliterate your nonsense so they must be biased rather than YOU being biases? Not only can't you provide the slightest evidence that as many or more have died from the shutdowns, you've never addressed how many MORE would have died of COVID had we not done anything. The model from Imperial College of London who tRump quoted as saying 2.2 million would have died in the U.S. had we done nothing is easily more credible than your obscure professor's vague statement about studies that had nothing to do with the pandemic, saying those who suffer from mental conditions related to social isolation equates to the health risks of smoking 15 cigarettes a day. (Really specific numbers, dork) I understand that your family hates you and that you hate yourself to the point that if you don't get out and hang out with total strangers who only tolerate you briefly and only because they don't know you well enough to be totally nauseated by your company, you will go even crazier. You're Cliff Clavin, just a charlatan who wants to go to a bar where you have a captive audience, the poor bartender who HAS to be there and has to listen while you make wild and absurd assertions not based in fact or evidence because your family simply can't take it anymore. Your bias has led you to glom on to an unsupported theory like a fan to their baseball team. You can use your bias to formulate an opinion that your team is winning, you can push those opinions on other fans, you can even convince your mentally defective brain that they are but everyone else simply looks at the scoreboard, faces facts and reality and concedes that they are not. You need to learn that there is a world outside your little, protective bubble. Your personal experiences do not dictate the rules, that experts are considered experts for a reason. The experts know far more than you, they are concerned about the psychological effects of the shutdowns but they have to weigh the risks and have come to the conclusion that the shutdowns would save far more lives than they would cause. Should we abolish seat belts, guard rails, speed limits, air bags, anti-lock brakes, tire pressure monitoring systems, crumple zones, driver's tests, driver's education, traffic laws, etc., because, although they've been proven to save lives, psycho nut job wusses like you will consider them abuses of their "freedoms" and use them as an excuse to use opiates, alcohol, tobacco products, murder people or commit suicide? It's quite simple, we make harsh decisions to save the lives of innocent people, then do what we can to help the nut jobs who will ALWAYS find an excuse to harm themselves or others. The decision is obvious and easy. Do we try to save millions of the innocent from those who refuse to be concerned about the health and safety of their fellow citizens or do we let them die to save the much lower numbers of those who are, and always have been, susceptible to substance abuse and suicide? Only those in the latter category believe we should coddle themselves and let the others, die.
